Story, story...
For some reason, I'm in the mood to post. It's only been two hours since my last post, but that's ok because technically, it's the next day. I had another professor story about faith and God and stuff, but I lost the email when my ruppet@rogers.com account closed. Whoever finds the time to write these is pretty cool. These stories (I guess that's what they are called) shows us an idea that we already know of but don't really think a lot about and changes the perspective. A good example would be:
"What is darkness? The absence of light."
That's from the aforementioned story. Life is full of some many intricate things. We can look at anything from any perspective. We can interpret a few words or sentences in countless number of ways. it is because of this that miscommunication exists in our world. We interpret things the wrong way and misunderstand what someone might have said. There was some statistic I remember reading/hearing from somewhere. It stated that 75% (or some other high percentage) of the verbal fights in the world are because of miscommunication.
"And you don't seem to understand
A shame you seemed an honest man."
- Duvet by BoA (OP Song of Serial Experiment Lain)
I heard these lyrics _just_ as I was writing out how there is always miscommunication. How coincidental. It's a good song too so everyone should listen to it. Especially the accoustic version. I used to know how to play it on guitar, but that kinda went down the drain with the rest of the songs I used to know. Oh well. It's expected since I don't touch my guitar much anymore.
By the way, everyone use my TagBoard! =P Ya, I know my blog layout looks weird right now. Maybe I should try fixing it up instead of posting this (cough) ridiculously long post. Oh well. My TagBoard has weird colours too. That'll be fixed soon I hope. Maybe I should just completely redesign my layout. Like a makeover! Get a chance and read Seraphim's rant about makeovers. If you were wondering, that's why makeovers came to mind.
Btw, if anyone is going anywhere to the States, please pick up a copy of Book 2 of MegaTokyo. And well, if you happen to be at a Waldenbooks store while you're at the States, get me a Megatokyo t-shirt as well. And of course I'll pay you back! I have two Megatokyo t-shirts, must add more to the collection! I have the Capture the b34r and a limited edition (woo!) CNAnime t-shirt. I bought both t-shirts from the CNAnime on August 22nd to 24th. Those were fun times. =) Woo MegaTokyo!
Anyways, I think I ended my ranting for today. And for the rest of the month. Time for bed.
